What Does Caring for Creation Have to Do With the Faith?
Fact is, caring for the environment was God’s idea before it made the agenda of any political party. In Genesis, the covenant was made, and it became our responsibility to care for His creation.
Historically, Christians have willingly provided relief to suffering humanity as a means of expressing the love, compassion and mercy of Jesus Christ. Shouldn’t it also stand to reason that the church should work toward improving the environmental conditions that cause disease and illness in the first place?
It’s time for us to rediscover the Church’s responsibility to lead by example in Creation Care!
Join Dr. Joel C. Hunter, Senior Pastor of Northland, A Church Distributed, as he leads “Creation, I Care.” This three-part video series is ideal for both individual or group study.
Dr. Hunter has become a nationally known spokesperson for issues related to Creation Care, which he teaches is one of the “Compassion Issues” outlined in Scripture: including Sanctity of Life, Creation Care, Justice, Poverty, and Marriage and the Family.
